Plants and Plates - new training progamme launched
We are excited to announce our new employability training programme in partnership with Morton in the Community and Inverclyde Community Learning and Development - CLD.
Young people are invited to unlock their potential with a 12 week employability course.
Plants and Plates is a project aimed at young people with additional support needs who are looking to develop their skills, move on to further education, volunteering and employment opportunities.
People can chose from work experience in our new cafe, ‘Branches Cafe’, in horticulture or in landscaping by working 2.5 days per week between late August and December.
They will learn interview skills, communications skills, job application support and will leave at the end of the 12 weeks with a level 2 customer service qualification, together with food hygiene or horticulture. Literacy and numeracy skills will be supported by the Inverclyde Community Learning and Development team.
For eligibility or more information please contact Calum on calum@parkleaassociation.org.uk, or call 01475 744516, or alternatively via John at Morton in the Community, on john@mortoncommunity.net, call 01475 731949
We are delighted to be offering these new opportunities and look forward to welcoming new young people to the team.
