All set to sail

Thanks to a charitable organisation called Able2Sail, three of our clients were able to experience a morning on the water yesterday.

Based at Kip Marina, Able2Sail is a volunteer run organisation that offer people with a range of disabilities the opportunity to get out on the water. 

On this occasion three of our clients were able to take advantage of a morning at sea.  They have space for three sailors, two able bodied and one wheelchair user, accompanied by a staff member.  So it was the turn of Pauline, Shannon and Jordan who all had a great day out.  Even the weather behaved.

Shannon was also able to steer the yacht by remote control, which was a unique experience for her.

This is the second year Able2Sail have been able to offer us a slot in their busy schedule and we hope that other clients will get the opportunity to join them next year.
