Heritage art classes a success

For the past eight weeks, we have delivered art classes for our clients as part of our ongoing Heritage Project. These sessions have been highly successful, with participants acquiring new skills and developing an interest in the history of the local area.

Adam and Dean drew inspiration from the local surroundings, while Pauline replicated a cup of tea she encountered at the Maritime Museum in Dumbarton. They employed a range of mediums and techniques they had mastered over the weeks, such as chalk, pencil and acrylic paint.

The classes are conducted by local artist Brian, with assistance from art graduate Amy. They have been very supportive and encouraging. We are eagerly anticipating the second round of sessions, which are set to begin in May.

There may be a couple of spaces available on the next set of these small, mixed ability, art sessions. They take place on a Wednesday morning for an 8 week block. If you are interested in attending and a learning new skill please contact Susan at Parklea on susan@parkleaassociation.org.uk.

These sessions are made possible by funding from The National Heritage Lottery Fund.
